Kurt Hummel has come a long way, baby! From the dumpsters of Lima, Ohio to the red carpet of New York, New York, Kurt's living the life he always dreamed of. His career is on a fire; Kurt's a bonafide Broadway star and currently looking at branching out into directing and screenwriting and his personal life couldn't be better. Married since high school, he and Blaine have defied both odds and expectations, falling deeper in love with each passing day and sharing their lives-and their love-with Jesse St. James and Sebastian Smythe. The arrival of his nephew has given Kurt a bad case of Baby Fever...one that seems to be spreading among all the boys except for Blaine.
Jesse cut his teeth on Broadway and has successfully made the transition from stage to screen. He's currently starring in the prime time hit "Lucky Chances" opposite Cooper Anderson-a situation that isn't exactly a walk in the park but Jesse's bound and determined to make it work. He's also determined to make his relationship with Blaine, Kurt and Sebastian work. Jesse's come a long way from the narcissistic diva he was back in high school but he's still Jesse St. James and some things-like his ego-will never change.
Blaine's life has been series of serendipitous events ever since moving to New York. He tagged along with Kurt to one of his rehearsals and when the director overheard him helping Kurt with his lines, he cast him in the show. From that point on, there was no looking back and Blaine took Broadway by storm and is now on the verge of making a major breakthrough, filming his first feature film. He views his marriage to Kurt as the best thing that ever happened to him and despite all the drama that initially erupted in the wake of its reveal, he wouldn't change a thing about the road they took to get to where they are...or the two men that they're sharing their lives with. Over the years Blaine's relationship with his family has improved dramatically but tension over the poly has threatened to take things with his parents several steps backwards. Even though he may not have Carter and Imelda's approval, his grandfather Feliciano and his older brother Cooper are always firmly in his corner.

Sebastian is an up and coming talent agent at Rothchild, Miller and Lewis, one of the most powerful talent agencies in the entertainment industry. Sebastian has a knack for discovering unknown talent and turning them into the next big thing as well as navigating the shark infested waters of the entertainment to ensure that his clients always get the best deal. The relentless drive and brutal ambition he had in high school are still a major part of his personality and even though he's a little less likely to lead with an insult these days, Sebastian is still not a man to be crossed and those who find themselves on his hit list never know he's gunning for them until it's too little, too late. He's extremely protective and possessive of the things-and people-he deems his. His relationship with Kurt and Blaine came a complete surprise and a time when he wasn't looking for love-or anything even close to it. He and Jesse are still a bit hesitant with one another but they are growing closer everyday.
Kurt's father. Burt is a former Congressman and cancer survivor. He's very close to Kurt and loves Blaine like a son but his relationships with Sebastian and Jesse are decidedly cool.
Burt's wife, retired nurse. Carole adores her stepson and has an extremely close relationship with both Blaine and Sebastian but Finn's past with Jesse makes her relationship with him a bit strained. Carole runs a foundation dedicated to helping military veterans overcome PTSD, drug and alcohol issues.
Kurt's stepbrother. Finn got a degree in sports medicine and works as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals medical staff and married to Olivia "Livvie" Carmicheal-Hudson and father to newborn Peter Jacob Hudson. Although Finn loves his wife, adores his son and is incredibly grateful for the life he has...he sometimes can't help but wonder what would have happened if he'd ended up with Rachel.
Finn's wife Olivia, better known as "Livvie", is an elementary school teacher and very down to earth. She's extremely dedicated to her husband and family and tries very hard not to let "The Story of Finchel" make her insecure, but there are times when she wonders if Finn is with her because he can't be with Rachel. Peter Jacob Hudson, better known as PJ, is Finn and Olvia's newborn son and the arrival of little PJ has Kurt's biological clock ticking like a time bomb.
Blaine's father. Carter is high powered attorney and after a long struggle has finally reached a place where he accepts instead of merely tolerates his son's sexuality. He's very conservative but does approve of Kurt, mostly due to years of exposure and Kurt's proving he can and will put Blaine's happiness first. He does NOT approve of Bas or Jesse and it's causing renewed tension in his relationship with Blaine.
Blaine's mother. She met Carter in law school and is a partner in a rival firm. She and Carter are extremely competitive but also extremely devoted. They weren't the most demonstrative parents and now that their boys are adults regrets are creeping in. She's made an honest effort to be a better mother and her efforts were rewarded by having a wonderful relationship with Cooper and Blaine now. Blaine's "situation" has thrown her for a loop. Being married to Kurt was respectable; the debauchery he's living in now is not. The tension threatens to derail all the progress she's made with Blaine.
Blaine's older brother. Cooper is an actor as well and the family "golden boy"-not because of any accomplishments he's made, but because he's adept as using his charming personality to his advantage. Cooper plays the part of "dumb himbo" extremely well, but only those close to him know that he's extremely intelligent and had been groomed to follow in his father's footsteps until he rebelled and ran off to New York the summer after his senior year in high school. There is a bit of a sibling rivalry with Cooper and Blaine because Blaine felt abandoned by Cooper and resentful that Cooper gets to skate through on cheap laughs and a smile while Blaine has to break his back to be perfect and it's STILL never quite good enough for the family. They love each other fiercely however and Cooper is squarely in his brother's corner. He loves Kurt and has come to accept and care for Bas but Jesse is a sore spot. He and Jesse don't get along, a long time professional rivalry that has turned personal and looks to only get more dicey now that that they have been cast on the same prime time show. There's a history there and well...it's best for everyone if the past stays in the past.
Blaine and Cooper's maternal grandfather. He's an artist who has always had a very special relationship with Blaine. He understands him and supports him in everything he does, including his romantic relationships.
The much married Analise-Pascal-Laurent-Moreau-Williamson-Smythe is a photographer and artist. She's pansexual and her current partner is female. Analise is a former high fashion model and has had a string of high profile affairs. She is an almost permanent fixture in the french tabloids. Analise was a loving but permissive parent. She is very immature and wasn't ready for motherhood when Sebastian was younger. Analise has always been more of a friend than a parent and even though she loves Sebastian she spoiled him rotten, was over indulgent and overly permissive to compensate for her absence. She has no problem with Sebastian's relationship because she herself has had several unconventional love affairs.
Analise's partner. The most stable relationship Analise has had since Bas's father ended their marriage. Melina is free spirit but she's grounded in a way that Analise isn't and confident without being cocky. Her career as an art buyer frequently takes her to New York and although she is very open to having a relationship with Bas she's unsure as to her place in his life and doesn't want to push.
A former star of french cinema, Sebastian's grandmother. She adores her grandson but worries that his mother's shortcomings have negatively influenced Bas. She also spoils Sebastian and believes he deserves the very best of everything-including lovers. Don't let the kindly old grandmother facade fool you- Catherine is a force to be reckoned with when crossed and taught Sebastian everything he knows about getting over-and getting even.
Sebastian's paternal grandmother. Jacinda is appalled but not surprised by Sebastian's "latest stunt". She is convinced his "problems" are because of his mother-who she told Alexander she didn't approve of and does NOT get along with-being a bad influence on Bas. She prays he'll come to his senses soon. Because Sebastian was Alexander's only child she is extremely over involved in his life and,Jacinda, Analise and Catherine often get into power plays putting Bas squarely in the middle.
Jesse's father. A former playboy who primarily lives off of his trust fund. He isn't overly involved in Jesse's life but he is proud of his son's success-he's the only one of his offspring to do anything Jason considers noteworthy. He doesn't care about Jesse's "flings and affairs" but does want his son to be happy...after all, the happier he is, the less actual parenting Jason has to do.
Jesse's mother. Laurie was well aware Jason married her expecting a "trophy wife" and that's what she gave him. She prides herself on being the only woman from her social circle who has never been "traded in for a newer model". Jesse is her favorite child because he's the least needy and the most famous. He's always been an attention getter and there are few things Laurie loves more than attention. She thinks his new relationship is scandalous in the best possible way but expects it will crash and burn like all of Jesse's other "entanglements" so there's no reason to get upset. Laurie won't ever win any mother of the year contests but she does love her children...she just doesn't know how to love them the way they need her to.
Jesse's sister, a popular radio DJ forever stuck in her brother's shadow. She has a bad case sibling rivalry where Jesse is concerned and the fact that their parents always gave what little attention they showed their children to Jesse has caused a rift with her and her brother. She doesn't approve of Jesse's new relationship and won't admit it, but it hurts her feelings that Jesse doesn't care what she thinks. Lucy may have some daddy issues and fine, maybe she's a got a case of the poor little rich girl, but at least she's not infuriatingly inflexible and annoyingly stubborn like her neighbor Wesley. The guy may be easy on the eyes but he's such a stick in that mud that Lucy would never...well...she'd just never. Really.
Christian is Jesse's older brother who, when he turned 25, took his inheritance and "voted himself off the island" moving to New York and buying into a small gallery. He's Jesse's rock and is very protective of his little brother. He is accepting of Jesse's relationship but wishes Kurt didn't come with Blaine and Bas attached. Anya is Christian's wife and an interior designer who's biological clock is ticking. She and Jesse get along famously. She doesn't understand any of this polyamory business and is very vocal about it. She thinks Jesse should go after what (she thinks) he really wants-an exclusive relationship with Kurt.
Future Rachel hasn't quite had the level of success that Kurt, Blaine and Jesse have but she knows it's just a matter of time. After all, she IS working on Broadway and has recently gotten a huge boost after being cast as Sally Bowles in a star studded revival of Caberet. This could be the break she's been waiting for and Rachel is determined to make the most of it. She's also completely over Finn and doesn't care one bit that he's married and has a child. She's perfectly happy with Tyson thank you very much. If sometimes she pulls out her old high school yearbook and looks longingly at pictures of New Directions and her senior prom well...it's just nostalgia. Kurt is still her best friend and took a long time to come around to the poly but as long as Kurt's happy then she's going to be happy for him...even if that means trusting his heart to Jesse St. James. She knows that there's more to Jesse than fabulous hair and a sharp tongue but she also knows that he doesn't always follow that well hidden heart of his. She's not saying anything though, with age has come wisdom and the ability to bite her tongue but she is keeping a watchful eye on the situation.
Rachel's boyfriend. Tyson is a personal chef and met Rachel when he was hired by her to give her cooking lessons. He's head over heels for Rachel and tries to understand her "crazy friends" and their "drama filled lives" the best he can. Tyson is itching to put a ring on Rachel's finger but she's reluctant and he can't help but wonder if her old flame Finn has something to do with that.
Blaine's personal assistant. He frequently butts heads with Bas and Kurt. He and Jesse get on surprisingly well. Amal is an extremely private person but he's also fiercely loyal and Blaine has become more than just an employer-he's a friend.
One of Kurt's closest friends from NYADA. Geneva does experimental theater and is bisexual. None of the boys like her and the feeling is mutual. She is head over heels for Kurt and everyone knows it-except Kurt. She knows that Kurt's gay but...the heart wants what the heart wants. And well...her heart is set on Kurt. And she'll do anything-short of boiling a bunny-to get him.
Sebastian's assistant. Gets paid for secretly tipping off the paps about Bas's clients and the boys comings and goings. Tessa is driven, intelligent and determined to succeed by any means necessary. She's also devious, extremely cunning and is not content to simply be Sebastian's assistant. Tessa is ruthlessly ambitious and has her sights set on becoming an agent in her own right. If she has to take Sebastian down first to get there then well...may the best (wo)man win.
Jesse's last ex and current personal assistant. Van is a struggling actor who hasn't had his "big break" yet-and guess what- it's not coming. Not because he doesn't have what it takes-but because he doesn't want to WORK for it. Van's insanely talented, he just also happens to be incredibly lazy. He thought that attaching himself to Jesse would be the quickest way to get his star to rise but found himself dumped for not one but three guys AND stuck getting Jesse's dry cleaning for a paycheck. He hates Kurt and is out for revenge but is biding his time. After all, he's already wormed his way into Jesse's house. He's already back in Jesse's bed...he just has to figure out a way to get Jesse to join him.
Sam became an official member of the "Hudmel" clan when he lived with them for his senior year and he, Kurt, Finn and Blaine have stayed close over the years. Sam lives in New York and parlayed his love of video games into a career as a pro gamer. He gives Kurt or Blaine the unvarnished truth when they need to hear it-whether or not they ask. He and Mercedes are on again/off again so much they have put Finn and Rachel to shame. Sam loves Mercedes, it's just that every single time they get together circumstances conspire to keep them apart-literally. The last time they broke up it was because she was touring Europe singing with Jennifer Hudson. Now that Mercedes is stepping out front and center, Sam fears he might just lose her to stardom for good.
Mercedes has finally gotten her big break after years of working as a very successful background and demo singer. She's currently recording her solo album and still firmly in Kurt's life-and his business. She makes no bones about not being cool with Kurt and Blaine being married but "having boys on the side." She and Kurt have reached a point where they've agreed to disagree. She knows she can't push him on this or she'll lose him-but she's not happy about it. Or about her relationship with Sam. They have reached a point where they need to either make it work or walk away-she just doesn't know which way things will end up. She loves Sam, but not enough to give up her dreams or to ask him to give up his. She knows in her soul that Sam is the love of her life...she just doesn't know if their story is going to have a bittersweet or happy ending.
Brittany showed up on Kurt's dorm room door step fleeing an abusive relationship she'd fallen into with a girl from her dance program after things with Santana fell apart and sort of never left his side. She's currently teaching dance at a community center and lives in an apartment in the same building as the boys-that Kurt often pays the monthly rent for. Bas is oddly jealous of her relationship w/Kurt and doesn't appreciate the reminders that Kurt is "her favorite ex boyfriend" or the way that Kurt refuses to let Britt stand on her own two feet but she's struck up an oddly close friendship with Jesse. Brittany is finally dating again and he seems like a good guy but it's early yet.
A single parent who is currently dating Brittany. His wife died in child birth and he rebounded into a bad relationship with a woman who eventually left him and his daughter-after taking him for nearly every cent he had. He'd closed his heart off for a long time and met Brittany when his daughter Carmen started taking dance lessons from her at the local community center. Britt's close relationship with Kurt almost stopped the relationship before it started because he had no idea who Kurt was or that he was gay-but the way Brittany went on and on about the guy had him thinking she was still in love with her high school ex. He finds Brittany's special way of looking at the world beautiful and even though they both have scars he thinks they can help each other heal.
Armando's eight year old daughter. Carmen adores Brittany and has decided Ms. Pierce should be her new mommy "since her mama went to heaven and her mommy Gina left".
A Liz Smith style gossip columnist who has a lot of power and plays favorites-luckily Jesse is one those favorites. He is positively giddy over Kurt and Jesse taking their love from onstage to off...and keeps the boys front and center, often intentionally leaving out mentions of Blaine and Bas. He's not someone to antagonize because where Jamison Sinclaire goes, the rest of the gossip world follows. He's a good friend to have and a very bad enemy to make.
Noah got his head on straight after high school. He was inspired by his friendship with Artie to go into the medical field. He's currently a surgical nurse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is still close with Finn, Quinn and Santana. He and Kurt have also struck up an oddly close friendship as well. He's recently reconnected with his daughter Beth and while it's been wonderful it's also been bringing up a lot of confusion, mainly of the Quinn variety. Puckzilla is still running free, but not quite so wild and he's ready to settle down like the rest of his friends. He just needs to find the right girl.
A nurse in the neo natal unit at Children's, Naima is the right girl. Noah just hasn't figured it out yet. Naima is head over heels for Noah but doesn't want to ruin their friendship by trying for more -especially since they are roommates. Finn thinks that's stupid and tells her as much quite often. Naima is starting to wonder if maybe Finn is right and she should take a chance on love or keep guarding her heart, especially since Quinn seems to want to be more than friends with Noah these days.
Santana has mellowed a little with the years but she's still as sharp witted and acid tongued as ever when crossed. SHe works at as a crisis counselor for LGBTQ youth and she, Noah and Finn have formed a strange sort of Three Musketeers group and she feels it's her duty to point out to the boys when they are being idiots. Such as Noah not recognizing that the perfect woman for him is literally across the hall. She and Quinn are still the best of friends...and the biggest of rivals. Whatever, it works for them. She and Brittany may have broken up but the blonde beauty still has a very special special place in her heart and even though Britts is in New York, she's still a very big part of Santana's life. The Unholy Trinity racks up quite a few frequent flier miles keeping their friendship in tact. Santana's own love life has been a string of stop and star affairs but her current girlfriend just might be the one to change all that. She's not Brittany, but she's An-Li and for the first time since Brittany, Santana's with someone she can see a future with.
Wes' half sister, and Santana's partner. An-Li works for a non profit organization and met Santana at a fund raiser. They've been together for a year and she's the ying to Santana's yang. An-Li can give as good as she gets and she's earned Santana's respect as well as her affection. She's a lesbian and exploring the possibility that she may be genderqueer. Her relationship with Wes is incredibly strong. She adores her brother and she wants for him to realize there's more to life than just work...like the cute brunette in his building that he's always talking about whenever he calls. Sure, Wes says she's insufferable...but it's the way he says it that has An-Li betting that her big brother has a crush.
Wes still lives in Ohio but makes frequent trips to NYC due to work. Wes is an attorney and he's making his way up the ranks rapidly. He adores his sister and he and Santana have a friendship based on mockery, sarcasm, and a mutual desire to see An-Li happy. He's still close to Blaine and has come to be almost as close to Sebastian. He and Kurt are still a little awkward around each other and Jesse well...neither of them is making much of an effort. Wes would have a pretty perfect life...if he didn't have the most annoying neighbor on the planet. Lucy St. James is the type of spoiled rotten, pampered princess that Wes got more than enough of during his days at Dalton. Sure she's...not entirely unfortunate looking and maybe he's listened to her radio show and found out that she's got a quick wit and great sense of humor but she's...infuriating. She's always breaking the building code in some way or another and she never seems to take anything as seriously as she should and whenever there's drama to be found she's right in the middle of it. No, Wes is keeping his distance from Lucy St. James and is quite happy to do so...no matter what An-Li thinks.
Jeff is another Warbler who stayed part of Blaine's life. He's an indie film maker and one of the boys closest friends. He and Nick are still dancing around each other but with a determined socialite having her sites set on Nick that dance may come to an end.
Where Jeff goes, Nick follows. He and Jeff are still thick as thieves and still "...pause..." friends. He teaches art at an NYC prep school and is dating society girl Melody Larsen. He's a good friend to all four of the boys and one of the few people from the Sebklaine's past that Jesse wasn't instantly on his guard with. The two have formed a fast friendship.
Pretty, rich, spoiled and dating Nick. Her antics have caused her parents to threaten to cut her off so she's decided to prove she's responsible by dating someone "acceptable." Her plan worked a little too well and now her parents are pushing for a marriage...and even though Melody has her suspicions about Jeff's place in Nick's life...she wants the financial freedom a wedding ring would get her and being married to Nick wouldn't exactly be a hardship.
Hunter is dating Quinn and lives in Cincinnati, working at one of the most prestigious law firms in the city and on the fast track to making partner. He gets along with exactly no one from Quinn's high school circle (some people just don't know how to let bygones be bygones) and her relationship with Beth makes him uneasy because he absolutely doesn't want-or like-kids.
Quinn lives in Cincinatti and is extremely close with Santana, Finn and Noah. She's co-anchor of a very popular local morning show and has her eye on moving on to the national market eventually. She and Hunter are dating but it's not easy since no one seems to like him and he doesn't much care for them either. She and Shelby reconnected after a number of years and she has a friendly relationship with both her and Beth and that has led to some very intimate moments with Noah that have her wondering if he's the one that got away.
Beth is Quinn and Noah's biological daughter. Her mother, Shelby, has always been honest about her being adopted and she's always known who Noah and Quinn were, but now she's actually forming a real relationship with them. She is extremely close to her mother and visits her older sister Rachel every summer and just like her mother and her sister-this girl's a diva.
Shelby reconnected with Quinn and Noah when she moved back to Ohio after several years in NYC to teach at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Now that everyone is a little older and a little wiser, she has opened the door to Noah and Quinn having a relationship with Beth, as well as started closing the distance between herself and Rachel.
